Spiders...frightening yet sooooo fascinating! The smaller size shot looks like it has a US or UK flag where the legs meet. Beautiful picture.
  1. Victorian design county courthouse in Houghton, MI. The harvest moon

looked particularly large this year (the news said it was a perigee

this time, appearing 13% larger than usual). I shot the moon

separately, adjusted the color temp to match the diffused light in

the haze and pasted it in place, since the exposures I tried either

got the building but blew out the moon, or got the moon but couldn't

see the building. I just wish the wind wasn't blowing the flag so

    much!

Passiflora are certainly beautiful flowers. I would prefer the DOF showing the foreground of the flower to be in focus as well, especially if it is sufficiently shallow enough to render the background still a bit out of focus. I think it would look nicer if the flower wasn't cut off on the left edge, too. It still is a really nice pic, though. 6/6. I like flower pics.

Really nice! Wonderful traditional clothing, and the position of the dancer against the blue back ground is a real eye-catcher. Same for the other two photos, with the additional compositional elements in them. 6/6

Really cool! I think the appearance of entering the shadow on the right is appropriate for a "shadow warrior." He's not dressed for a night fight, though. I'd like to see the subject in darker attire, and maybe crouching lower. This is a great subject, with lots of possibilities for creative photography!
  2. I was impressed by the amount of color in this plant with no flowers,

and wanted to see what it would look like on film. I've been

experimenting with close-ups. I just wish I had my flash with me

    when I saw the plant!

  3. The really dark lower-left corner and the really bright lower-right corner are too much of a contrast for my taste. If the bright front corner was muted a bit, or even better the rest brightened up a little, it would have better balance. Looks like a great place for a walk in the country, though!
  4. I can only comment on the angle and tilt. I think to have rotated the camera about 30° counter-clockwise and moved to the moving to angle in from the lower-left petal in the picture would have helped it. On the other hand, I love how the leaves made such a nice background, and the color of the flower is great!
