i used a newspaper box as a tripod, about a 1 sec. exposure, and i got this ghostly effect. this demonstration was on worldwide falun gong day. china treats falun gong practitioners (and tibetans)like crap and yet the US and Canada don't treat them like they do Saddam Hussein. in fact, they even TRADE with china. it's a crazy world.

Would have been better if the faces were clear, but interesting nonetheless. They look sort of like ghosts.

What Keith said. It is a neat effect. If you ever have a chance to shoot again, try a variety of shutter speeds; maybe a stop faster would have held the faces better.
