Well, I found out the problem. You must have film in the camera I guess if you want to turn on the camera and use autofocus on the lens. It says no where in the owners manual that you have to have film in the camera for the autofocus to work! Go figure.

I took my camera out and installed the batteries and for some reason

my camera is not autofocusing. I have checked the lens m/ma switch,

the camera's focusing mode selector switch, checked the batteries to

insure they were installed right. What gives? Oh, and for those who

might pop the question, I did turn on the camera switch! HA, HA!

Anyone with any ideas please respond. Thanks.

I am looking for a battery powered 2 stobe system to use for alter

returns at weddings. I would like to trigger this system with a

wireless radio trigger. Any suggestions on brand of systems,

umbrellas/softboxes, or other detailed information is appreciated. I

currently have a Nikon camera with a SB-28 flash. I would also like

to trigger my Nikon flash in conjunction with the other 2 battery

powered stobes that are on stands using radio triggers not slaves.

Can this be done in conjunction with the other two stobes?

What would be a good 2 flash strobe set up to use with a Nikon F5 for

weddings? Anyone who has this set up, please respond with details on

equipment and how it has worked for you. Thanks.

Hi all, I will be going on vacation next month and I will be going

to several places that do not allow tripods in certain areas. I

normally shoot Fuji Velvia slide film because I am mostly shooting

landscape and nature. However, I will be shooting buildings,

monuments and other structures but without a tripod due to security

issues of a given site. Can anybody recomend a good slide film to

use? I realize I will have to probably shoot more opened up on the

aperture. Any suggestions?

I am looking for a good shoulder bag for ease of being able to access it easily.

I will be traveling to New York in June and was wondering if anybody

could recomend a good camera bag to carry the following items: Nikon

F5 with Nikkor 28-70 2.8 attached with hood, Nikkor 80-200 2.8 with

hood reversed, Nikon SB-28 flash, film, cleaning supplies, filters

etc... My concern is to not stick out like a tourist with

expensive camera gear here for the taking! Anyone with exact

equipment or similar please respond. Thanks.
