When I received my 1977 nikon f2, it had an almost similar problem along the seam at the viewfinder area when the viewfinder was detached. A quick and cheap solution is to just replace the foam. But, I would also suggest a basic CLA. Just to make sure everything is fine. What are the lenses you got with your new R5?

Because, the way I photograph, 35 frameline will cut off the feet, and the 50mm is a little bit too much. I usually don't crop.

Rob, you got it right. Bought it as is. All I care is that it has the M2 frameline, and work well.

How much does a mint 2nd hand M7 goes for? from the Japanese bic camera website, a new ZI will cost around 160,650 Japanese Yen, which translate to around USD$1400. Might be similar to a price for a mint M6. Long rangefinder base, 1/2000 shutter. I will save money to buy one.

US$800 is too high. Beside, you need a CLA for it, anyway.

I am wondering, does Leica sell enough MP and M7 to make any profits? Would it be more profitable to not focus on camera body production for now and put it on limited capacity, then turn the attention on lenses? Focusing on getting the lenses out on reasonably priced level. There are enough 3rd party camera body around. In my opinion, the trademark of leica, should be in the lens. Then again, I may be wrong. I hope Leica will survive.

Get the motor. That way, you have continuous concentration on focusing on the subject rather than recompose after each shot.

BGLOD. Blinking green light of death. Does the green light blinking? Then send it in, per advisory on the Nikon website. They'll fix it for free. Some D70's are affected with this syndrome. And Nikon has acknowledge it.

Raid, I am going back to Indonesia in November.(I am in Toronto, Canada now). The problem is, I can't trust HAL to be sent through the Indonesian postal system. I had enough problem and had to pay Indonesian custom through the teeth when I first got my first Leica(CL). Easier if I get HAL while i am in Canada and bring it to Indonesia and send it from there. But, yeah, so complicated. But, yeah, it would be cool if Hal visit there.
