Another photo of my 'porcelaine skin' project. Please don't tell me

it is overexposed; it isn't, the effect is created by pouring huge

amounts of light onto the face with one single 1000W flash head with

umbrella. With this effect the viewer is not distracted and focuses

only on the expression. Exposure is F22/125 Please visit my portrait

portfolio if you are interested in seeing more subjects with this

light. Thank you for your comments!

Yes I tend to agree but the models keep asking me for this effect. Upon scanning the negative I still have some skin detail and I can adjust it, however most of the female models prefer it like this. In any event the adjustments are very small and depending on your (and my) monitor settings you might see some more or less of the skin details.

I like the L-shaped frame on this photo that adds very nice texture to the entire scene. The partial face creates greater emphasis on the eyes. The depth of field is exceptional. Overal it tells a happy story, a greeting. Very nice work!

I like the tonality of this photo. The background works well on the model as well. The only thing I do not understand is why the tip of her left foot is cut off.
  1. I like this photo very much, do not play with the levels, it is nicer grey and with little contrast.

I would give this photo a slight crop; remove the area with the partial cross on the right and also crop slightly at the bottom to remove the 2 little leaves. This will isolate the central crosses and provide the viewer better concentration on the subject.

    Great job and good eye!
