It's an excellent shot--but I find the orange border very distracting for some reason! Might it be better with black or no border at all?

I have nothing to add--except bravo!

I've yet to see anything else like it on PN--magnificent Miguel!

 

I'd dearly like to know how you got this shot--the area, the preparation, the camera/lens, etc.

I'm among those intrigued by the encroachment of digital photography into the realm of painting. A 2 x 2 meter print of this could easily hang in many an art museum. It is bound to cause a more profound evaluation of both mediums!

Could do with a touch of noise reduction (default PS CS2 works well). Also, I would have liked it just a tad lighter, with more shadow detail. Good image in any event.

I too, am disturbed a little by the Hasselblad Zeiss 80F2.8 bokeh. Otherwise, an excellent shot!

Unfortunately, Marriec doesn't list their camera equipment in the Details section, so it's not possible to say why the exposure is so off--at least a full stop too dark. The white water through the middle implies a simple center weighted metering system of some kind.

 

Marriec, for this kind of shot, you should definitely bracket the exposure to improve your chances of getting an acceptable exposure. Also given how dark this exposure is and the fuzziness in the exposure, a tripod was an absolute must!

 

I agree with Hanna Cowpe, it that it's instructive to point out the flaws in even highly rated work (however those ratings are achieved).

Sorry Phil and Martin, I disagree! It looks best "as is" to me. Taking out the sky corners, changes the picture too radically.
