From an email I received when looking for parts:

Parts are available for almost anything we sell here at Bogen Imaging. We don't yet have an on-line parts purchasing option, so until then we request that you call our Parts Department at (201)818-9500 x 244 during our business hours of 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM eastern standard time, or by email at parts@bogenimaging.com.

I am mostly considering the upgrade because of the extra stop of light. I would be using it mostly with the TCs mentioned because funds are not available for a 4 or 500mm.

Wide open on the f4 w/1.7tc gives me f6.7, and a lot of times it is too dark to give me the shutter speed needed without resorting to a higher iso and hence, noise. Thanks...

Has anyone done this and are you glad you did? Which model (I or II) did you
get, and why? Also specifically, how are the results using the 2.8 with the tc-
[14 & 17]e teleconverters?

Would appreciate any feedback, good or
bad.

Thank you.

You might be finally experiencing what I have found. I cannot get a really sharp image using that teleconverter w/the 70-200. It's excellent with the straight 300mm, but not on the zoom. Just a thought. Maybe try these terns without the TC and compare the results? Let us know...
