Great shot, converting to B&W works really well. The animal looks powerful, like the king of the herd. I would leave the branches and think the square composition works. The two major elements need each other to make this shot wonderful. well done.

love the vibrant rustic colours. The layer of thin ice gives an unusual texture and almost providesa diffused luminosity.

lovely atmosheric shot, I like the subtle colour of the trees against the graduated grays of the water and fog. Perhaps the composition could have been improved, angled a little to the right.
