Well, I've been looking around to see what kind of film suits what situation, but I've
come up with another problem: what on earth are these films called? Seems there's
about 5 different names for kodak max, or does that count as kodak gold 400? Is the
kodak HD 400 the same as the old Royal Gold 400? Or what about royal superia? Is
T400CN the same as the consumer "Kodak Black and White Film"?
Fuji isn't much better: is there any difference between the various Super G, Superia
and Superia X-Tra films (at the same speeds, of course)?
I think i need an asprin. Any ideas?

Thanks, all of you. I'll try to take a few pictures next week, I've been waiting for the
spider to do some more of her work. I'll post it if I have enough money in a few weeks
to get the photo cd...

Any general tips for shooting spider webs? I have one is located at a kitchen window,
and I'm not exactly sure where to start exposure-wise. Lots of background light, but
the spider web is kinda transparent...

I think the one you're thinking of is the FA 24-90mm. That kind of lens should fit
almost any situation, especially people shots, i'm guessing. Supposedly it's
one of the best pentax zooms made, and definitely worth it compared to the 35-
80mm, but I've never even seen one in real life, only
online. Personally, I'd try a cheap 50mm f/2 ($20 on ebay), and have fun running
around to get a shot, but that's just me.

I've actually got some experience in shooting school plays. I avoid the problem by
getting closer and using a shorter lens, a fast 50mm does nicely. I've had no problem
shooting asa 400 film with the long end of a 35-70mm lens handheld at f5.6 actually.
But if you really want to stick with the 200mm lens, fuji makes a nice 1600 speed
color film, kinda expensive though. $7-8 a roll when I got it, and I made the mistake
of taking it to a drugstore for developing...oh well, the colors actually were good, only
the grain was horrible. Again, the drugstore isn't a good idea. But the cheap way still
is to get closer, stick to a shorter lens, or maybe donate some money to the school so
they can get some new/brighter lighting equipment. God knows the schools need it.
My two cents, sorry for ranting.
