I agree with Patrick, BW works perfectly with this. Love the vignetting you use to focus the eye on her and lead it through her to what she's doing. Well done.

Yes, the second crop is such a much more powerful image. Your original would be great if it were for an ad, with the messaging in that big spot of nothing.

Simply beautiful! The expression gives just a hint of deviousness and, as Mark pointed out, the raising of the eyebrow finishes it off. Her eyes are clear and the lighting is wonderful. Nice job.

Absolutely love the expression! She is NOT going to take any crap from you or anyone else, haha.

Wonderful lighting, nice, soft shdaws, her eyes are crisp and both have catchlights. The backlight "halo" is a nice contrast to her expression.

The only, and I mean ONLY issue I have is there seems to be some sort of birthmark or some kind of shadow smudge on her lower neck. I'd clean that up.

  1. I like this, it tells a story and is very pleasant on the eye. I like the barn being a bit above mid-horizon with the road leading my eye right to it. I also like the colors and the soft treatment you give it. Very nice capture!

Wonderful was the first word that came to my mind as well. A simply beautiful capture. The lines, the lighting, the mood you created, and the reflections. Bravo!

Nice work. Great shadows with the menacing clouds and nice toning. I'm not so sure about the foreground though. For me the image ends at the top of the grass, yet there's still all that space. I'm thinking just the top, lighter area as a base. I know that would pull the horizon line down but in this case I think it would work. Perhaps a higher POV? In any case, a very nice capture.

Lightroom and Bridge have sliders, and Photoshop and a Hue and Saturation Adjustment layer option, where you can adjust the saturation and hues. The colors are very strong here and it looks almost like a painting.

Which editing software do you use?

Wow, great image and composition. The ONLY issue I would have with it would be to back off the saturation a bit, but then I get accused of that all the time. ;)

    Well done, 6 for sure.
