  1. As I took some picture at a parade yesterday, I observed I make some

    mistakes.

I am not sure how to handle the focusing. As I own an Elan 7, should I

chose a focus point (from the possible 7) at the beggining?

They keep changing and, as I need to take fast shots, the main subject

appear be out of focus... If I chose at the beggining the middle point, then

the subject will be in the middle and the photo would be boring...

Also, when taking a fast picture of a person, there exist a risk of

including too much foreground or too little. What is the solution to this

when one has a couple of second to decide?

For people in motion, if the photographer stays on the sidewalk, what

would be a better picture? Shoting a subject which moves towards

camera? Shooting the subject when is passes the photographer position?

What is the right shutter speed for photographing people which move at a

    slow pace?

    Thank you.

  2. I have not used Agfa Agfachrome RSX II 50 before and I acknowledge

to be a beginer in using slides. Does Velvia have the same effect in

giving grainy skies? What about Kodak saturated films?

Also, I have taken some pictures of sunsets, taking a read from the sky

and thus underposing the foreground. The underexposed part came

grainy. Do all the slide films give the same "result"?

    Thank you.

  3. I have a puzzle: do regular labs in USA have a problem processing

Agfa films (or Konika films)? I have processed some Agfa films in

Germany and the result was much, much better. For the Fuji or Kodak

mailer, what results is to be expected if I send Agfa slides to them?

I am also wondering what would be the improvements in the new

Velvia/Astia films. Astia is one of the best films I have ever used...

What can be improved for such a perfect film?

    Thank you for your answer.

  4. I am planning on buying some close-up lens. I have a Canon 50 mm lens

(which can focus at 30cm)which requires a 52 mm filter and a Tamron

zoom lens (which can focus at 1.5m) with a 62 mm filter.

I have the 62 mm/52 mm step down, but the difference in price between

52 mm and 62 mm is pretty steep...

Would it be stupid to buy the close-up lens just for the 50 mm lens, as

the effect on shorter focal distance lens is much stronger?

    Thank you for your answer.
