I like the photo and agree with many of the comments. I would also wonder how it would look if you played with the contrast a bit.
I'd love to see it blown up a bit.
When I see shots like this, it makes me wonder how the photographer found the stairs or got the access to whatever rooftop/ balcony/ belltower...

It looks like an illustration to me. It's not that I don't believe it's a photo and maybe my monitor sucks, but there just isn't any sharpness or clarity in the image sufficient to convince me it is a photo. -
I like the effect. There's a surreal depth and movement to it. It might not be traditional pretty photography, but I like it. -
