It is easy to rationalize and justify the persecution of the man in question (or for that matter) any muslim in todays world, given global circumstances. But look at it from this perspective... did the British authorities lock up any irishmen who may have been taking pictures of Big Ben during the height of the IRA conflict? And if it did, how fair would it have been to say that its okay, because the irish bomb us constanty, so he MUST have been upto something. <BR><BR>
Why this bias? Is it because this guy has a beard, or wears a skullcap? Or that his name is "Mohamed"?<BR><BR>
So what is the solution? Am I going to change any minds here, probably not. But here are a few options : <BR><BR>
a) All muslim men (with beards) stop taking photographs of buildings or any interesting landmarks in any city<BR><BR>
b) Take photographs, but shave your beard and change your name from "Mohamed" to "Mike"<BR><BR>
c) Stop praying at the mosque, because since you likely know EVERYBODY who goes there, if you do get arrested for taking pictures, you could very well be linked to "Al Qaeda" because you happened to be in the same building one day as some shady character.

Forgive me for the sarcasm... but I welcome anybody who reads this to suggest some ideas that may be helpful.
