<p>They did call me, but I was out of town.</p>
<p>They said they'd call back, but I haven't heard from them yet</p>

<p>Hi Guys,<br>
I need contact info for Simon's camera staff.<br>
They have recently closed, but I was unable to pick up my repaired Leica, since I was out of town<br>
Does anyone have contact info?</p>

<p>Does anyone have contact info for the Simon's Camera staff?<br>
They've recently closed and were moving all the inventory to storage.<br>
Unfortunately, I had a camera there for repair and could not pick it up in time, since I was travelling.<br>
Does anyone know a way of contacting them?<br>
I'd like my camera back.<br>
They did call me before closing, but I was out of town</p>

<p>That is good info.<br /> I think I read somewhere that Pocket Wizards are approximately 3.3 volts. Is this correct?<br /> It sounds like I need to send off the shutter for repair or adjustment, as well as buy some sort buffer for when I use a sync cord.<br>
Does anyone have a preferred shutter repair shop?</p>

<p>I was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue?<br>
I have a 135 Xenotar in a Compur, but when I use a longer shutter speed it triggers my strobe twice.<br>
I've tested this with both a sync cord and a Pocket Wizard and the behavior is consitent, no problems with flash bulbs though, HA!<br>
I had this one CLA'ed within the last year or so and the shutter speeds are good though.<br>
Any info appreciated!</p>

<p>It seems like everything was covered above.<br>
The only thing that I could add is that the GA645i is noticeably quieter than the original GA645pro and what noise it does make is 'nicer'<br>
I like the big negatives.<br>

I really do wish the lens were faster though, but what can you do?<br>
proof sheet scan, sorry.<br>

There seem to be 2 rangefinders on his Crown Graphic!
-
All of my shots above are wide open.
I suspect that if you are considering a specialist speedy lens for 4x5 that you want to use it wide open on occasion.
Yes, there isn't much depth of focus at f3.5
-
If you need faster than f4.7 then you don't have many choices. I'm pretty pleased by my Xenotar, but I'm in the Press Camera minority here.
Here's a couple of 135mm Xenotar shots. I don't have a Ysarex available right now.

Hmm, The Fujiroid still looks ok.
It was stored in the dark at room temp, btw.
-
Give me a day or two to dig out that old Fujiroid and I'll check for fading.

If you're a ground glass guy, f64 kind of guy, this kind of conversion may not make sense to you.
But if you like to work handheld in smaller formats then this kind of conversion makes perfect sense.
I've been very pleased with my conversion. It's lighter than a linhof and the rangefinder/viewfinder is fine.
Build quality/feel is definitely not Linhof quality, but it's small and light for a 4x5 and quick to work with.
Not every camera has to have every feature, it just has to have the features that you want at the time that you are using it.
Very pleased with mine. And he made mine bright blue at my request.

Could you post a sample of a problematic polaroid also?
Have you used the same holder on all the film you've tried?

Check the retracting 'tooth' inside the holder at the opposite end from the level.
I've found that can bend a bit to be too grabby. I just bent mine back a bit with a small screwdriver for the same problem.

Another vote for the wider lens.<br><br>
Don't listen to the folks trying to discourage you from using the 4x5 in public.<br><br>
People are mostly oblivious. <br><br>
I've snapped away in public with my Super Graphic 4x5 handheld and noone really seems to care. <br><br>

How about a CL or CL-D type body to go with these?
-
What Jeff said.
Leica's are a joy to use, btw.
-
I use a Toyo or Graflex Super Graphic.
With the rangefinder I can use it pretty much as quickly as any thread mount Leica.
-
Use what you like. You can get pretty close to people even with a 4x5. <br><br>
I actually find it easier to get closer with my 4x5 than with my Leica. <br>Not sure why though.

There's no temp control on this thing, so it's just ambient temp.

I'm trying a 4 sheet Unicolor Drum w/motorized base.
The Unicolor instructions indicate ~120ml of solution, so I'm worried that at my normal working dilutions that I may not actually have enough raw developer for proper development.
