  1. Travis,in your own words(as an artists' statement)what is so great about your images?

They're dark yes. They allude to some obscure homoeroticism,ok.But then, what else are

you trying to say?I've been observing this scheize for quite some time(2003).So WTF Travis

are you all about? You don't have to answer, this is just the NET.donny.

  2. Yeah,70's definately.Hairstyles, clothes, hand painted signage, and the peeler photography

with 50's lighting. To me,back in those days it did not seem as if one would observe the

same people as you would today "slumming it".Back then, those areas actually were 'mean

streets'.Now that particular culture(if you want to call it that),is somewhat sanitized and

mainstream. My shot was taken with a Pentax Spotmatic II,50mm smc f/1.4 .Was not aware

    of Leica back then.

  3. No Kent.I mean for B&W prints,I feel that using an enlarger and chemistry based methods

provide a more cost effective and high quality result. For colour, the inkjet wins(provided

your workflow is sound). Two aspects the B&W inkjet method does have as an advantage

over traditional darkroom methods is a high degree of consistency of results(high#'s of

prints looking exactly the same), and photo parameter control via Photoshop.Like

    life,compromises after every sunrise.Good Luck.

  4. Not tryin' to be correct at all.Just lookin' for more diversity in viewpoint of a subject. If you

wanna see smoking as advert writers want you to see it,by all means go ahead and

share. That is one aspect of freedom of choice.Just asking for images to counter balance

    another reality, that is smoking.

  5. C'mon folks, nobody's got pix of smokers in wheelchairs at the palliative care ward?I like

some of the closeups.Expressions foreshadowing that 35milligram-a-day morphine stare

to kill the pain.Hollywood is just as guilty as big tobacco. How about you?
