Although I love this shot, it looks as though you used a graduated neutral density filter in Photoshop and didn't eliminate the overshoot on the trees at top (the white line just between the trees and the clouds). I think eliminating that artifact would really improve this.

Sunrise on a foggy morning over the last of the melting snow at
Crater Lake

If only I could have found an appropriate nymph sprinting across the
far grass....

This spring's rain in California have made it one of the best
wildflower seasons in a long time. Here in Pope Valley near Lake
Berryessa.

As gorgeous as the spring wildflowers have been in California this
year, I still have a very hard time capturing what my eye sees in a
photo that conveys anything close to the original. Please view
large as this certainly looks better in a 13 by 19 print.

(Must view large) Bathed in sunset now, bathed in a downpour in
minutes, a lone figure wanders the fields.

Couldn't decide what to do with the layer of clouds at the top of
the picture; crop or leave. What do you think?

It's funny. My wife is from Texas and always misses the blue bonnets in spring. So I told her that the California Lupines are just like them. Now she even has me referring to them as BlueBonnets.

Just one of those great spring evenings where you want to be outside
and you don't want the sun to set.

A spring evening in the mountains overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Does the peaceful mood come through even in B&W? Your feedback is
always appreciated

Part of my peaceful moods series, comments welcome

I was trying something different compositionally by dividing the
photo into four distinct corners. Perhaps the result is a little
too dynamic?

Simple but beautiful, does it work?

Thanks for the feedback

I usually shoot landscapes not architecture, so feedback and
comments are welcomed

Taken on a foggy morning in December near San Jose California. The lighter green is the mown grass of the golf course.

It's an original, not a montage, only changes were a graduated density layer in PS, curves and sharpening.

Robert: I like your crop except that it removes some of the sunset highlights.
John: The exposure was dictated by trying for depth of field with minimal remaining sunlight.

Unfortunately web scale doesn't do this justice, the 13 by 19 print
is so much better. Comments appreciated

Even in dull November, the lens can find an upbeat mood in a
beautiful city like Paris. Comments appreciated
