1.
hello,
i have been working with this film extensively over the last 6 months. in particular i have been testing the 120 format.
i have been testing the adox chs 100 and the efke 100 side by side as they are the same film.
my results have been very frustrating. the film has a beautiful grain. i tested it out and found a developer/time combination.
i have had major light leaking problems...leaking into frames.
freestyle did a test and had the same issues.
if you are shooting outside, documentary, have to change on the fly, i had many frames ruined due to this film's light leaking...i shot ilford hp5 and fp4 alongside and had no light leak issues....trust me on this it is not you or your camera...i use many different cameras...
i love the feel of the film but the light leaking is ruining the shots....if they fixed this problem this film would be a dream come true.

  2. hi..i'm a free-lance photo-assistant in los angeles.

i have worked with elliot when he has come out to los angeles

there is not a leica anywhere near him...he shoots canon and he

loves them...he uses two zooms but mainly canons 17-?(35) and

then a mid range zoom, he loves that lens....his eyes are not

what they used to be so he uses the cameras on auto focus....he

shoots tri-x at 400....the only equipment that is old school is his

old gitzo that he carries in this old shoulder case....i assist a lot

of "name" photographers...and rarely and i mean rarely does

anyone use a leica...they are slow, zooms are handy, and they

don't have autofocus, it's about getting the picture and the new

slr's are just so efficient and fast that thest people don't have the

time to mess around with the leica.....the few times i have been

    on a job with a photographer using a 35mm rangefinder...they

have been using either the contax g2 (most of the time) or that

    ricoh rangefider.....
