This was originally taken for the Photo.net monthly project, with the slow shutter speeds as subject. I wanted to try something different than the usual rapids/waterfalls or speeding cars and this was the least lousy other idea; I used flash to freeze a view of the books, then proceeded to create the flames by moving the camera. I should probably have wiggled the camera a bit more, but any other improvement suggestions are welcome!

The ray of light and people giving scale to the building work well. Perhaps a slightly tighter crop to get rid of the piece of pillar(?) on the extreme right?
-
I'm very much impressed by the backlighting and colors, as well as the sense of speed and urgency the photo conveys (even though a fast shutter speed has been used, the tilt of the boat clearly indicates that it's travelling _fast_ despite the resistance of water and waves).
Only improvement I can think of is somewhat a matter of taste; it looks slightly oversharpened to my personal preferences (mostly the flying droplets of water).

Street photography is something I'm not exactly familiar with, so
please feel free to give feedback about this attempt in it.

Any feedback regarding the photo is welcome.

It seems that I fell for the trap of looking at the photo in almost dark room while posting it; when viewed at daylight, it's clearly a bit bland and in need of some levels tweaking...

This shot was pretty much on the edge of 20D/50mm f/1.4 low light
performance and the steadiness of my hands.
I'm pretty much available light/small DOF fan, so comments/improvement
suggestions are especially welcome regarding those points. But all
other comments will be welcome too.

Have to agree mostly about a nice use of light; the only gripe with it is that the head looks now slightly differently coloured than the rest of her, otherwise it's just beautifully soft, emphasising a smooth skin. Perhaps a bit more of the other shoulder might be visible, but otherwise the composition/pose is just about top-notch.

An older photo which I seem to enjoy sufficiently to keep as a
background for my computer. The aim was to get a more abstract blurred
water shot. Critic is welcome!

While walking on a beach around sunset time, I decided to play with my
infrared filter after a longish break and to combine the somewhat
unreal light with long exposure for waves hitting the shore. Feedback,
suggestions etc. about the result are highly welcome.

The poles form a nice pattern, although I wonder if this wouls have worked even better with the image flipped so that they dimish to the right?
Other than that; nice use of available light, solid work.

Nice. Perhaps a bit more saturated than I'd prefer (something between the original and this would be my preference), but that's a matter of taste. The seagull on the middle pillar is a nice touch, as are the marks on the sand.
Perhaps a one or two steps back and camera tilted a tiny bit up would have been better, as a bit more sky would have been showing without compromising the foreground?
But nonetheless, it's beautiful. Congratulations!

Softness fits this photo. Perhaps she could be a bit closer to the right edge?

Quite nice, and not only because of the saturated colors. It looks like the bird is escaping from the storm. (However, perhaps a bit too much high-radius sharpening, or is the halo around the bird intentional?)
-
Not bad at all, the colors kind of form a partial rainbow from left to right; red, green, blue, violet. The person sitting on the beach is also a nice touch. It's a moody image.
On the negative side, the composition feels a bit odd and I'd probably edited the red light on the opposite beach off, even though it's a minor detail :)

The background should probably be made darker, now the noise floor is somewhat too visible. It's nice that the center of the nebula isn't too saturated, which seems to be the case on many other M42 photos. Composition could probably be improved by moving the nebula slightly off-center. But definitely not a bad try.

This would fit some episode of the sci-fi series Farscape; perhaps because the woman looks like Claudia Black, one of the actors. Good mood.

Impressively original, especially as it is mentioned that this not a composite, but a real situation.
Can't really find anything else to complain that the lightning bolt on the top looks a bit oversharpened; there are some artifacts. Other than that, WOW!

A nice 'frame' for the actual target. I wonder if this would look more dramatic when taken at sunrise/sunset or with long exposure during a full moon night.

This does remind me a lot of some 3D fractal images I've seen, but perhaps that is not very surprising, as AFAIK many rendered landscapes are based on various fractal formulas. In any case, this makes the image interesting for me, as its abstract look kind of places it between the strictly computer-generated images and 'natural' everyday landscape shots, even though its origins are firmly on physical reality.
