1. Really Patrick? Sorry to hear that. It's weird, I was born and grew up there, and I hear many things about Mexico that I never experienced while I lived there, only heard about after living outside of Mexico. Mexico is a big country, with many co-existing worlds, sometimes some of us get to see only one or a few. -- To be fair I never drank the water right from the tap (I also never do that here in the U.S., no asbestos for me thank you). But if you're in a hotel, it is a federal regulation (last thing I heard) that their water be pure and filtrated.

Not that I endorse them, but if you are really paranoid (I know I can be), stick with Coca-Cola, not from the cans, but the glass bottles; that will bring you back to before the Reaganesque cola wars.

 2. Al, first, I'm glad to see --first hand, as far as the 'net is concerned-- that you're OK. Second, I told ya, you'd go into withdrawal. The eye of a hurricane just whisks on by and what do you do?, you're looking for coffee and your Bessa/15mm combo.

I didn't want to post on James's thread for I wanted to hear from you myself; and of course, e-mail would be the last thing on your mind.

 3. John: you know, I don't know anymore, it may be. That would be why I got lost on the way back the second day I was wondering around the Thames (looking for Temple Church --which I never found--, which was clearly marked on the map...maybe I needed the secret handshake, and also looking for Blackfriars and Tower Bridge --no missing that one--) and thought I could just walk back.
 4. This one's boring, but it'd have to do. I'd love to give them a plug, but I forgot their name; it's in Westminster, virtually right in front of Hyde Park. One of the few pics I took, I'm not that much into taking pictures of hotel rooms, but duh it's not a bad idea...
00DLzg-25357284.jpg.3e463d30f1c8fa5e1f314dc867b4620a.jpg

 5. DONT'T DRINK THE WATER or eat unpeeled fruit or raw veggies. Don't forget ICE is water too. Good shooting !!!

People are still reading 60s-70s travel brochures. It's like somebody telling Europeans that go to the U.S. "don't eat the beef!!" Just use your best judgement (i.e. don't ever purchase water from some vendor in the street, that's not bottled, duh)
