rudolf. your lighting is incredible. there a several others similar to this one; however, 46 is amazing...and the model pose, down to her right hand and impish smile - is truly after the masters...this reminds me of painting in the national gallery, yale center for british art, and the british museum...well done, and thank you for sharing. -bl

hi charles...thanks for your feedback...i was taking the shot of the building, and a favorite fellow human happened to be walking there simultaneously...each subject should be explored further-each on their own...thanks for that suggestion...bb

is there any way to make this shot more effective without using a
sharper lens?

Jean-Paul, regardless of how many photographs I take, or how many I look at that are taken by others, I still find myself coming back to look at this amazing photograph you have taken and shared with the rest of us...I will always hold this work in my mind's eye as a benchmark of excellence. Thank you.

gary, this is a really beautiful photo...the intersection, juxtaposition of nature and of mankind...awesome

i love to watch skateboarders, whether it is in an emplty pool, and fabricated skate park, or at the x-games...mostly because of the skill it takes, and the painful trial-and-error to succeed doing a new move...and knowing i'll never be able to do that...i love how this shot captures the the skater's eyes and face reacting to the height and the way he's about to drop in...cool, confident, with 1000% adrenalin pumping away...and a second later, the run will be over - or the skater leaves a layer of skin on the concrete...a well executed skate trick is like watching a high speed ballet...fluid, creative, improvised...skill-based chaos...i feel that this photo tells quite a story...thanks for sharing it...bobo

I didn't want to disturb Dominick by using a flash, and I didn't want
to "Photoshop" this to death...the basic digital cameras do not leave
much room for adjusting for lighting...any suggestions?

The lettering on the glass door was projecting on the inside wall as
the sun started to set in the west. Your feedback is welcome.

Hi Linda. For some reason this photo is unsettling for me...it definitely elicits a reaction - a strong one. It is the reaction to the bra or top that bisects the torso that is causing me this feeling...i have no qualms about the small of the back or the shoulders and upper torso...i like them...it is the line of demarcation that makes this a controversial reaction between my right brain and left brain...just my $0.02...i do like your other work very much...and after all, art should cause those viewing it to react, and that I did! -Bobo

Hi Linda...I really like the way you've framed the sky with the tree line, and the subtle reflections in the water. I am a cloud & sky fan...and I like this very much. -Bobo

I've always been a fan of m.c.escher, and there are a lot of very
interesting stairwells at Yale (British Art Center, Peabody Museum,
Yale Art Gallery...)this is a shot of 'stair 6' that we have to use
to exit out side of the building during fire alarms, evacuations,
etc. My primal fear of heights makes taking shots like this
difficult, but also draws me to take them...i was just about to take
the shot when i noticied my left boot...i was goign to crop it, but
it really grew on me and i couldn't part with it...i humbly submit
this shot for your comments...Bb

Same as other shot...I don't want to distract the performers;
however, I do want the images to come out with better clarity.

I am trying to get the knack of shooting digital pictures without
using a flash while being jostled about by the crownd and without
using a tripod...most come out fuzzy...any suggestions?

Marta, again, the beauty of this shot, and the sharp contrast of the trees and buildings silhouetted against the sky - breathtaking!
-
Marta, I love cloud studies. The deep, rich blue combined with the variety of clouds, plus the excellent way you used the clouds to frame the picture, mui bueno!
