I recently bought an M6 Classic, one of the very very early ones. It has no serial number. I have checked it all over and there is certainly no serial number. What could be a possible explanation for this?

You naughty guy, not long ago you said you will NOT be buying any more Leica gear !!! Well done. Enjoy it, I have one of
those.

Hello Mukul
Hope all is well with you. Seems you have a goodie there. Does the meter work? Because meter has been a concern, I
bought Canon P and have managed to collect four lenses- 1.2/50, 2.8/35, 3.5/100 and 3.5/135.
I bought an original lens hood for 1.2/50 and it was NOT cheap!!!
I must say the 3.5/100 is an amazing lens - wonderful! I have used it with my Leica M9 for B/W shots and the creamy
results are lovely.
Enjoy you new toy!
Best

I read different views. Can anyone please tell me - were all LEICA ELMAR 4/90 THREE ELEMENTS made in Canada? What is so special about this lens that it fetches higher prices? Thank you - Afzal

LEICA M9 Upgrade is nothing more than new buttons and buckles on the same bag at such a high cost. Its pure cosmetics. No doubt, I have always said ''You do not carry a leica, you wear a Leica''. Its now like jewellery. Will upgrade take better pictures? NO, NO, NO. Will it look better? May be, I am not too sure. Red dot was always the Leica symbol. Why the hell could Leica not include all those bells and whistles in the first place when they came out with M9? Is it purely money making racket?
I was offered upgrade but I have declined it. Will happily wait for Leica M10 if ever or whenever.
My personal opinion, some might disagree.

Dear Mukul
Remember the old adage "if you dont use it, you loose it". This works as much for your mind as it does for your body. It is like an old motor bike which has not been used for a long periond and might need a "kick Start" - but dont let it get to that stage. You are still a young man and keep your faculties going - be creative, and think positive which you do.
Best regards

Hi Alex
Hope you are well. Yes, it is a matter of choice. At one stage it was more difficult to get Grey Steel as compared to Black. One other advantage of Grey Steel perhaps is that either Chrome or Black lens will go with it. But like someone recently said to me ''when I see through the viewfinder, I do not notice the colour of the lens''- How very true!!!

Which is more popular LEICA M9 Grey Steel or Black Body and why? Any ideas, please?
