Thank anybody for your kind responses, but I still remain with an unanswered question: does the 18% gray have a RGB correspondence or not? is the 214 214 214 (sorry for previous post) value corrrect?
Thank you again

Hi does anybody know the RGB values corresponding to kodak 18% mean grey?
I was thinking of having a jpg printed with it on a matte paper and
taking it for colour calibration during shooting photographs instead
of buyng the hard to find (and expansive) kodak card.
Has anybody tried it? Is it a good idea?
Thank you for your response

I find Nikon F/N 75's matrix metering almost unbeatable, expecially in the aperture priority mode.
I own one since 15 months and it always satisfied me

I am looking for a mechanical second body. (I'm just an amateur) and
my camera dealer proposed, instead of a most expensive 2nd hand Nikon
FM2, an "ALSTAR" clone, which would be mint new (still in production)
and obviously cheaper.
He said that the mechanical schemes are the same as well as (almost)
the materials with which the clone is built of. It would cost around
150 Euros, so it's tempting me. Do any of you fellows have any
experience on that matter or a good advice?
Thank you

Soon I'll be making some theatre comedy shots. I will be able to get
close to the stage or on it as I've been allowed to take pictures
during reharsals. My lenses are a Tamron 24-135 (3.5-5.6) and a
Nikkor 50 mm (1.8), I guess I'll be using mostly the former.
I've bought some Kodak TMAX P3200 (I've read some advice on P3200
rating, but they were far from conclusive), Kodak 800 and Fuji Superia
extra 800.
I would like to hear from someone who has some experience with the
subject and/or those films, thank you.

Hi
I just encountered the same flare problem with a Venice shot including a sunsetting sun. I was very disappointed because I took the shot while trying my new Tamron 24-135 (with its bulky hood), and, despite its renown excellent reviews, I got the unpleasant flare.
I'll try a 50 mm prime.
GREAT picture, by the way!

Hi. I am about to buy a medium quality zoom; I've learned that Sigma
recently (July) put out a 24-135 lens. I'd like to know if anybody
tried it and how it fares against the renown Tamron 24-135 (which has
a slower aperture and an higher cost)...
Thank you

Has anybody tried the summentioned lens? Or do you know where is has
been recensite? How it fares if paragoned with Tamron 24-135 or NIkon
24-120?
Thank You

Thanks Bill, but the site you mentioned won't open....

I've got a question: how do I know how much exposition range does a
film (negative and even more positive) tolerate? How much EV
difference can exist between the brightest intelligible area and the
darkest one in the same photogram? Where do I look for those
informations on a film specification?
White balance at same time in different places
in Mirrorless Digital Cameras
Posted
I've got a almost-rookie question:
on manually setting the white balance is the "temperature" of light the same
with the same weather conditions in 2 differently illuminated spots?
I mean, if I set the white balance in an open space (and the sun condition
doesn't change), will the setting be the same if I move and take a pic in a
shaded place (close to a wall or something like that)?
Thank you
A.B.
