John, what a touching montage. Great toning and blending. Hits deep. The only thing that could make it better is is you cloned out the dark rock to the right. Otherwise beautiful!!!

Awesome capture. What a great action shot. Great composition. The white hat draws me right in to the main part of the action. Super work.

Gell - your work is just simply incredible. The clarity, sharpness and saturation on your images absolutely impecible. I would love to be able to take shots like this, but somehow mine never come out this sharp and crisp. Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated. What iso do you use and how do you focus so well on moving subject?

    Regards,

Did not have time to read all the previous comments and I will probably be reiterating some of them, but this is one of my absolute favorites in your portfolio. Absolutely gorgeous. I love the tilt of the head, the coloring, and lighting ..........simply gorgeous. I would be very interested in knowing how you achieved this. Maybe you could email me - if you have time. ksiebert@gmtp.net

Great portrait and as you know a precious and beautiful child. Enjoy your little angel.

  1. Nina, I have had a look in your portfolio and would like to say ....WOW!!!!!!!!! Your work is really incredible. It is very rare that I find someones portfolio full of pictures that I love; but I cant find one image that I dislike. Your daughter is simply gorgeous and I can relate to your work, because my passion of photography began with me photographing my daughter. She is my favorite subject. I dont come to this site very often anymore. I mainly post to usefilm.com. But I sure am glad I did. I have marked you as an interesting person and look forward to viewing more of your work.

I will comment and rate on your other work as time allows. Your daughter is gorgeous and those eyes.... Look out! She is a real cutie. I intend to check out your website because I am very interested in some of the techniques you use.

Bravo...and keep up the great work. You are now added as another of my inspirations. I like you have learned what I know ( which is not a whole lot ) by trial and error, no classes or anything.

If interested, maybe you could check out my portfolio at usefilm.com

This is one of the best images I have ever seen. I have seem similar images and have even taken a few myself, but none have been as successful as this image. EXCELLENT perspective, great color and contrast, nice lighting.
  2. Nice pic Joe. I love the color of the hay - rich in color and texture, nicely composed....a good perspective photo. I like watching as the hay bales get smaller and smaller. The only thing I can see that would really improve it - would be if the sky were more dramatic. If you want to see what I have been up to lately - check out usefilm.com and look up Karen Siebert.

This is great TK. Love the interaction. Nicely lit, good composition. Very nice. Hard for me to believe you have not had more comments. I have joined usefilm.com now and rarely come to PN to visit. You should take a look at usefilm. I think you would like it.

    Abduction.

Chris - this is wonderful. The angle really works for me and the composition is great. Very fitting title and nice toning. Creative and interesting view of the typical portrait.

Wonderful job. The desaturation of the background and intentional red in the tractor is great. Works very well together. Love the use of lines to draw you right to the tractor no matter where you look. Well done.

Truly wonderful. As stated before your work is very much your own - with a unique play with lighting and a wonderful style. Beautifully composed, wonderful colors, great use of shallow depth of field. Just great.
