I like the attention you pay to the use of the natural lighting. Nicely
done.

I think Venzenso is right. The lens cap is the meter off switch on
the K 1000. Try that first before spending money on a repair.
-
Or maybe Ansels mentor? Someone had to show him how to
shoot. The Pressman is a serious camera. Best of luck with your
new old camera!
-
I wonder if anyone has ever recognized themselves or a family
member in your postings and contacted you?
-
Gene: I think David might be right about Grandpa. I'd recognize
him anywhere. I love the found film stuff you show!
-
I love it ! I'm having flashbulb flashbacks as I read your write up.
The story line could be very realistic for many families. The
quality of the images from the found film is very good. Thanks!

Fine job with that little t.l.r. I notice that your Rollei is a very clean
sample.

To those little tiny people, crossing Route 9 must be a very
dangerous task that takes the better part of a day unless they
can hitch a ride on the back of a squirrel. And even that can be
quite a risk. God bless em for their bravery.

I agree with Mike. It seems there is a haze on the lens based on
the photo of the camera. Nice old Contax though.
-
I like your eye for composition! Please tell us of the tiny arm on rt.
9. Is the arm photographed as you found it? Or did you leave your
house with it, with the intent of including it in a photo? Either way
it shows a great imagination. As for the barn shot, I like the way
you frame the subject with the objects in the foreground and to
my eye the exposure is real nice as you held some detail in the
shadow area without blowing away the highlights.

Outstanding! Thanks for the link!

I always like the old cars in the found film posts! The guy
shoveling the snow probubly used a heating pad on his back
that night. They wern't too fond of chirpractors back then. Some
nice big old houses in the photos too! I think you could put a
found film photo book together with all that you have collected
and shared with us.

Toms right, I grew up not far from the Granby Aldrich Sreet Mill.
The water wheel is gone now, but the mill house remains. I bet
the historical society would like a copy of those photos.

Hey! Just kidding about the lunker stuff. Good night all !
-
A Quabin Lunker means a real big fish. I don't want to get Gene
into any trouble.( God knows what a lunker might mean out west
).
-
Thats a nice set of words CE. Kinda spells out how I feel about
my better half ! Commitment to family, Photography, and classic
cameras are great addictions! Folks like you help me reinforse
these thoughts! Feels like pease in the valley tonight. I hope ole
Gene is out hooking on to an old Quabin lunker tonight!

Damn! That kowa has a nice sharp lens and seems to be
serving you well ! Nice set of photos. I like photo # 6. Nice work.

CE: Dispite the light leaks etc., I always enjoy your photos. The
reason is that you always include the most importent element,
which is your family. Your wife reminds me of my own which
always has the ambition to organize our trips and great times
spent with our older kids. Thanks !
-
Dean: I have enjoyed over time much of your fine work. From this
group of photos I particularly like Water everywhere and
Winchester Lake. You certainly pushed that old Shurflash to its
limits.

Hey kieth, maybe see what happens in a day or so! It's important
to keep the wife happy. Mine found me two Rollieflexes for
$150.00 for the pair, at a yard sale of an older dark room
technition. My wife knew it was a good deal ( she worked for a
photographer)and the seller was fine with the price! So keep her
happy and as time goe's by it will pay off. I appologize if my
response seems off topic but my kids are older now and my wife
and I can support each other in our interest. Its worth the wait!( I
only say this because you mentioned your wife was pissed.)
-
Look plenty sharp on my monitor! Nice detail in shadow areas.
-
Kieth: You might be better off, posting a price for the whole
shooting match including shipping! Get it done with one clean
transaction.
-
Cool shots Randy! The spotmatics are solid perfomers and
smart choices.
-
I have never bought from them and you probubly found them
already, but ritzcam.com has some kowa stuff. Off topic a bit but
just in case you are interested.

This is a nice posting and makes me think of the possible
history these man and women built together. Thank you for
posting.
