Fantastic picture! Good composition, nice tones and color, it puts me in a christmas mood.
btw. How does the 20d perform in cold conditions. Any comments on this?

Do any of you like this composition. I tried a visaul standoff between
the tree the tractor. Does it work?
Koen.
ps.
Don't mind picture quality, bad scanner, the machine can't do better
and the print was not that good either (1 hour service :-/).

This picture was taken at a small lake just at the top of lago di como
in Italy. A storm was comming in from the south, and evening was
setting in. Because of the lack of a tripod (doesn't go with me when
backpacking, 20kilo is enough :-) ), I put my camera on a concrete
wall at the side of the lake. I must say I'm very pleased with the result.

Mark, give me some references and I will arrange the necessary... ;-)

Just a shot I made of a fence on a dune...
Any comments? Exposure is quite right, the composition isn't quite
what it should be. Still this was the best option...

when you look at the moon the sun should be at the left of the picture, but I don't think that at that hight the sun would already be up it's past last quarter and on half moon the sun is 90 degrees for or after the moon. On full moon the sun is at 180 degrees, the opposite of the sun. So when the sun comes up the moon goes down and vise versa.
Now the moon is somewhere inbetween (between a 90 and 180 degrees from the sun)and given that in tropical regions the sun/moon rises quickly at a steap angle. And the fact that the lighter face of the moon is facing down, there is no way that I could think of that this picture was taken with natural sunlight. The sun couldn't be up.
So It's digitaly altered or taken with under moonlight conditions.
Am I right????? comments

Just say what you think, the comment on the side explains the
situation a little...
Just people enjoying the sun, actually

The sky is a bit blown out, probably has to do with the use of the digital camera. If you want it perfect use a filter or b&w film with a bigger range.
-
I didn't have a ND-filter so I couldn't correct for the small range of a slide film. The original isn't that dark (projected on screen).

Let me know what you think. I know the scan is pretty bad, but
anyway... give me your thoughts.
