ketil_monsen 0 Posted November 26, 2004 Norwegian winter night, do you like to have the cottage inn the capture? Link to comment
benjamin.portraiture 0 Posted November 26, 2004 The cottage helps make the photo what it is. It looks like an elaborate model - a section of a Christmas village or something. Very nice. Link to comment

khsargenius 0 Posted November 28, 2004 Very nice work Ketil - makes me home sick as I prepare to celebrate Xmas in 40C downunder : ) If you don't mind, I'm curious to know what ISO / f-stop / shutter speed you used for this picture? kim Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 28, 2004 I'm wordless, you captured all the tones in perfection, rendering the wonderful winter snowy norwigian night plus the northern lights....wow! Link to comment
koen_hufkens 0 Posted November 28, 2004 Fantastic picture! Good composition, nice tones and color, it puts me in a christmas mood. btw. How does the 20d perform in cold conditions. Any comments on this? Link to comment
randrew1 72 Posted November 28, 2004 I'll echo all of the positive comments from others. I love the composition. In the spirit of continuous improvement, I'll pick at one nit: I would have edited out the poll sticking up above the left side of the cottage. It looks like a wind gage or antenna. Link to comment
nicolasbryant 0 Posted November 28, 2004 Yes fantastic picture, I wish I was there!!! Link to comment
michael_wagner2 0 Posted November 28, 2004 Another fabulous image. I am SOOOOO envious of never having seen the Aurora Borealis. Link to comment
cromwell1664877587 0 Posted November 28, 2004 I assumed this was a composite of two photos until I saw you checked the unmanipulated box. Maybe that's why you haven't cloned out the antenna or wind gage...to be able to keep that box checked. When viewing at large, my eyes go directly to it and I think that would be the only thing keeping Hallmark from buying this from you and putting on thousands of Chistmas cards. With or without the pole it's still a 7/7 and only suggest this, like Ron said, "in the spirit of continuous improvement". Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted November 29, 2004 Excellent capture, Ketil... Very beautiful and artistic...!!! Link to comment
