    i really like this one. the framing of hte bars of hte merry-go-round is great. it also works well with the placement of the subject's head as the focal point in the upper left third (good use of hte rule of thirds), the direction in which she is looking as well as the direction of the light. excellent photo.

    great expression on the dog. i like the framing; the solidity of the dog works well centered - a good exception to the rule of thirds. the weakness that i see is lack of contrast between the grass and the dog. a green filter to darken the grass or magenta or sepia (if the dog is medium tan as i imagine him) to darken the dog would help.
