John, I've tried ABC Photo and was satisfied with their processing. Will use then again.
-
I've used Vermont Color Lab on few occasions and was satisfied with their processing, quality work, quick turn-around and reasonable price.

There are no quality issues between Japan or China made A80.
I have China made A80 and there are no issues.

The photo details should be displayed on the same page as the photo.
Sorry folks but this new display is NOT an improvement.

Pentax Marketing: Oxymoron

Jason, you have a gem.

Same here, very slow!

I use my ZX-L in manual focus mode with the 50/f2 lens without problems. As other posters indicated it does not have the traditional focus aid but has electronic indicator.
-
For learning, I strongly recommend 50mm lens. Read the Mike J. article http://www.photo.net/mjohnston/column20/, he makes very good points.
-
To clarify, the 50/f2 was manual lens

I have ZX-L, used it with 50/f2 in manual and apperture priority without any problems.

Mason: Ofoto is a service catering to digital photography. The scans from processed film are for the purpose of viewing and sharing your photos online and ultimately order prints. When your film is developed, the pics are posted in your Ofoto account for viewing, they are not high resolution scans. The negatives are sent to you. I have been very satisfied with their service and quick turn-around when it comes to ordering prints from digital files, film processing however was slow. They were the first to admit film processing is not their forte. I don't think Ofoto is what you are looking for.

Having a good tool doesn't mean anything if you don't know how to use it. My experience with Walgreen's Fuji processing hasn't been as good as yours!

BTW this site may help:

100W light bulb filled with tap or spring water? But seriously, I too bought this lens recently and I am very happy with it. I don't have "high" quality lenses to compare it to but I also noticed it's quite sharp.

There appear to be problems with the site for the past two days: very
slow response, pictures not displayed or no response at all.

Chris: I am in South Central CT. Just tried Vermont Color (www.vermontcolor.com) and was satified with their processing and turn-around time.

From Johns relay of what the Kodak rep said it would seem that Kodak does a much better job of processing. I just received (what is going to be the last) order from Fairlawn, its awful, and thats an understatement!
-
Its an exercise in futility. Since I've started scanning my film, I have noticed that I havn't received any clean film back from many different labs that I tried. The mundane work of cleaning it up after scanning can turn you off really quick.

Jason:
You need to "park" your DN somewhere. Unless you have your own server, you can do this with many vendors out there. Most offer packages that include web hosting and email using your domain name. As the previous poster already indicated, you do not need a website to use your domain name but you do need a mail server. For example Yahoo does it for $14.95/month, I am sure there are others that are cheaper.

In 10 years, why would any manufacturer want to lead the film industry? That's the question.
I love the film, but let's be realistic, 10 years is a long time.

Kai, I have tried many labs except professional as my work doesn't warrant it. As far as I am concerned, they are all the same and it's a hit or miss situation. The equipment is pretty much the same and it's the human factor that makes the difference. Try different ones and see. As far as Costco, I had some enlargments done from digital files and was satisfied with the work, pricing and turnaround.
