I'll be majorly screwed up when I decide to replace my trusty old 7D classic. I've had it for 7.5 years and it works pretty well. Only 21,000 images thru it though. I wants stabilization and GPS and WiFi in my next body. I have all L lenses except for my awesome 85 mm 1.8.

Well done, Robin!

Which lens was used? That has everything to do with the sharpness you see.
Lens helps a lot (maybe half of the equation), but so does technique, aperture chosen, subject motion, shutter speed, ISO, etc etc.

It is possible to open a jpg file with ACR from inside Bridge. Hold the mouse key down on the image to see the choices.
It's not as good as having a real RAW file, but it does allow more sophisticated manipulation
Right-click "Open in Camera Raw" all ya gotta do..... good luck!

I would only guess too that atmospheric and other external conditions make make the true FL of any lens ever so slightly variable.

> How will noise be at low light and high ISO with all those pixels?

30 MP not that many for a full frame. My 7D is still great with low noise at 18MP and crop sensor -- I suspect the 5D MIV to be **MUCH better** than the old 7D's low light, high ISO capability.

> why begin w/ "canonEOS"? Do you have other cameras? If not, why not just "photos" ...

Because I had several cameras and it worked for me then (and I want to preserve my backup/folders naming convention without renaming the root folder).
Past 10+ years, 95% of my photos are EOS anyway.
