There are three of these in the flowers folder from back in 2003.
Hope you enjoy them.

I like the tint, the texture and "rumple" of the underlayment, and it just wouldn't have been as good with a fresh unwithered pear! It reminds me a bit of Charles Jones' vegetables.

The rectangle of the picture, the oval light, the "T" shaped table with the vase off center capped by the strong left right curve formed by the spray of flowers all come together to be an arresting and quite satisfying image. I, too, also find the tones quite pleasing.

the replication of form of the cloud and hills echoed by the little
tug and the big barges caught my eye.

Greetings,
Thanks for taking the time to critique my photo.
Forks
in Fine Art
Posted
gee, I wonder who took the first fork photograph. There is a show in Portland, OR right now of the work of Andre Kertesz, and it includes his fork photo from 1928, but that can't be the earliest by any means. It is a genre of it's own. I especially like this one. The off-center forks with their interlocking tines would be interesting but not compelling. What makes it is the skimming light from the side and the resulting great swooopy shadows that balance the photo. Love it.
