  1. Hi,

From the stuff that I have read the answer is going to be "great, fantastic lens". I have not come across any negative criticisms about Nikon by Moose. I accept that he is a legendary photographer but his reviews seems to be not helpful. In contrast Bjorn Rorslett, Thom Hogan reviews are excellent with a lot of practical value. Ken Rockwell will review Nikons without even seeing them, so I usually ignore his reviews.

  2. Hi,

Sometimes the postal service leave a parcel pick up card when there is no one to accept the parcel (because high value) that could get easily miss placed. Email B & H and get a tracking number so you can ring the post office. Good luck.

  3. Hi,

I recommend Man Shing Photo. Very reliable, contact Mr Wong. Details are as follows:-

    mskkwong@netvigator.com

    852-2396 2996

There prices are rather fixed but may give you free giffts.

    Cheers,

    Cham

  4. These are not listed in order.

    1) Port Campbell national Park (12 Apostles), Australia

    2) Bryce Canyon national park, USA

    3) Fox Glacier, New Zealand

    4) Kyoto/ Nara, Japan

    5) Trincomalee, Sri Lanka

Definitely Antarctica would be the best of all for me from what I have heard. I met a station leader at Macquarie island (Sub Antarctic Island) last year. I haven't been there as yet but definitely will be some stage!!!!

  5. F6 price in Melbourne (Australia) is still high ~AUD 3750 which is ~USD 2800. In general Nikon or even Canon prices are quite high in Australia. I think the local dealer (Maxwell) squeezes out most of the profit (Nikon atleast). Ofcourse a lot of people buy stuff from overseas when they can.
  6. Hi,

I was working in Hobart from 02/2004 to 08/2004, so every non-working weekend was a new destination. I mainly used Velvia and I am quite happy with the slides.

I recommended the following places:- (not in any order)

Cradle mountains (as one has already commented), grossly exaggerated in my opinion!!!!!

Lake St Claire's national park (the other side of Cradle - can trek from Cradle mountains if you like but takes a week!!!)

Port Arthur (you may remeber the massacre!!!)

Mount Wellington (20 min drive from Hobart) - Good sun set spot

Salamanca at night - Hobart, also fine dining

Maria island - painted cliffs - my best Tassie experience. Need to take a 1 hour Ferry.

Bruny Island - Take the Bruny island cruise to see seals etc

Frescinet national park - the world famous "Wine glass bay"

Macquarie island - it is a part of Tasmania but is in the Antarctic peninsula - I would like to go there one day, perfect for wild life!!!!!

Do not forget to have dinner at Pepprmint Bay in Hobart - Best Seafood in Tassie.

    Have fun

  7. Hi Mitz,

The aperture should be 2.8 x 1.7 which is 4.76. So the camera reading is correct. Are you talking about Maxwell site? There are plenty of typos there!!!!

    Cheers,

    Cham.
