It's a curious capture and esthetically it would be much better if the bird wasn't blurred (do I understand the tech-specs right: 1/500s@F/32 with an ISO-100 film??). Anyway, next time you get the chance to re-shoot the pic again, I wish you better luck!
Have fun shooting!

This photo caught my attention because of its pastel tones. It looks like a painting of Venice.
Very nice capture!
-
I like very much how the insect is looking at the camera (maybe the crop should be tighter).
Very unusual shot - congrats!

Anthony,
thanks for your kind comment. Indeed, Charlie is anxious to chase once more after his stick - he's a young dog "obsessed" by sticks... ;-)
Greetings to Passau.
-
Without the chair - perfect!
I'd crop the top off.
-
Nice puppy! I'm really wondering how you got him to hold-on for a second.
Have lots of fun with him!

Very nice portrait!

Definitely, I love the way the cat is sleeping!
I don't know if the translation from Spanish to English makes sense, but the cat is literally "sleeping with a loose leg".I would be curious to see a little bit more of detail on the cat's face and fur (scanning issue or exposure issue?). In addition, maybe placing the camera a little bit lower and more on the left with a slight angle, would avoid that the branches of the tree enter the frame and the perspective might be more interesting.
Happy shooting! Regards
P.S.: Did you really shoot this pic at T=1/500s@F16, like you specified in the tech. details??? ;-)
-
Very nice perspective!
It looks like you were flying between the trains?
-
Nice photo.
Nevertheless, it's a good thing to overexposure (or use PS ;-) ) to get the snow white not grey. A good starting point is +1 EV or even more.
Happy shooting! :-)

IMHO, it's a pity that he just jumped into the frame.
I would have liked him to be more the center of attention. In any case, less DOF would have helped to blur out the houses in the background and to specify more the main subjects which are in my opinion: the rock, the tree, the squirrel. ;-) - it could have been a much nicer photo emphasizing them more. BTW, maybe a little bit of fill-flash would have helped too.
Nevertheless, the textures of the tree and the colors of the rock are very nice.
Happy shooting! :-)

Thank you very much for explaining.
I guess you really had a hard time convincing this guy to hold still in the right moment. ;-)

The photo is very nice. I'm really amazed about the details in the eye.
Can you provide more details on how you did it (e.g. lightning, shooting distance, what animal is it)?
BTW, in my opinion the big URL-text distracts too much.

Great photo of a very attentive cat.

Hi Lisa,
to reduce the cyan in the image you can increase the green value about + 18 % of the red-channel using the channel-mixer. Now if you want to "pop-up" the colors you can do the following:
- duplicate the layer
- press "ctrl-U" and
. increase the hue a bit (e.g. +5)
. increase the saturation slightly (+20)
. increase the lightness too (+10)
. => press OK
- now use "filter/noise/median" (r=2 pixels)
- gaussian blur (r=2 pixels)
- change the "blending mode" from normal to color
Now, you can reduce both layers to one and you're done. :-)
Hope this helps!
P.S.: How did you scan the image (resolution)? I'm wondering about the tiny vertical red stripes. To me, it looks like oversaturation noise from the scanner's CCD/CMOS sensor.
-
LOL, Tara!
IMO, the image is much nicer without the black stripes left and right - I'd remove them.
-
Very nice and appealing shot!

It's very nice!
This looks like the horse is asking you: "Wanna meet my cousins?"
-
I personally like it better. :-)

http://home.cablesurf.de/baro/clowns.jpg Enrico,
it's a nice and very colorful picture!
I know, it's a question of taste, but how about increasing the saturation a little bit more and cropping the picture tighter around the "one man band"?
Since a picture explains better what I mean than 1000 words I've included a pic.

I second above statement. Great framing of the dog, very nice colors. The wires on the top shouldn't be there, but I guess they have some functionality in real life...
-
Yes, you're right! Mother Nature provides "tooth brushes" for all ages... :-)
-
Very nice colors!
The reflection on the water surface of the head of the right duck is great. Though, it's a pity that his mate's reflection is cut off.
-
Doug,
the horse's eyes could be shown on another photo - I was just curious to see his expression. :)

This is a very original and nice photo illustration. The only thing I'm not quite sure is the "thick hair". Maybe it would be nicer to see more detail in the hair but that's definitely a question of personal taste.
