Another from the first arena show that I ever shot... Since there's
no monitors in sight does that make this a better photo?
-
A 2 and a 1 eh? What reason do you have for such low ratings?
-
A shot from the first arena show I have ever done.
-
"What is this? A pic of a Halloween site?"
King Diamond was (and is) the singer of Mercyful Fate and also fronts the band named after himself. The baby represents the namesake of one of his concept albums "Abigail".
-
When Kind Diamond first came on stage he was illuminated by only a
pair of black ligt spots from underneath the platform he was
standing on. Out of a number of shots I squeezed off this is the one
I was most happy with.
If you give a low rating please leave comments, I can't get better
unless I know what I am doing wrong!
-
Lighting was pretty tricky at this show, lots of red floodlights
throughout. I think I did failrly well nonetheless. Please leave
critiques if rating low or I'll never be able to improve!
-
Better than my last critique request? I was really happy with this
one. Please leave comments if you rate this below average to help me
improve.

Lovely sunset shot but how does this comprise a concert photo?
-
Thanks for the comment! The stillness wasn't that amazing, the lighting was really good at the show. There weren't any other photographers there (the venue is really strict) so I definitely didn't pick up anyone elses flash :)
-
Geoff sure is looking like Rob here. Any thoughts on the composition
or general image quality?

Pretty bizarre shot, I would have liked to see her face but it's interesting regardless.
-
Even though it's a bit out of focus (handheld 1/30 shutter shot from
the mosh pit) I think this did a good job of capturing the energy of
the performance.
Please don't rate without comments, ratings alone can't help me to
improve my skills.

How many times do two bands come out and play encores together? I'm
so happy I was able to capture that moment...
-
How come it's so hard to get critiques around here? :)
-
One of many I shot at the Paramount Theater in Seattle on August
2nd. Please critique this and the other recent additions in my
concert photos portfolio. Cheers!
-
One of the many photos I took of the band last night. I am
interested in comments from other photographers, especially those
more experienced in non-rock photography. Cheers!
-
Decent amount of feeling captured here, too bad so much of his face is shadowed though.
-
Any critiques would be appreciated
-
Nice job, I've tried a number of times to get good fire breating photos but have yet to capture anything I can be proud of.
-
Not too bad but I find the crash cymbal to be quite distracting. Drummers are always the hardest band members to get a good shot of though.
-
I could use comments on some of the others as well. Thanks in advance!
-
Beautiful photo, great shadows!
-
I'm definitely getting more comfortable with this camera. This photo
actually got me the job of house photographer at the venue.

The last one I submitted from this one pretty much bombed (with no
explanations from the person who gave it a 1/1) so I thought I'd try
again. Please don't leave 1/1 ratings without some justification or
I'll never be able to improve!
