Very sexy, especially with the face turned as it is and hair covering almost all of it.  I think it may be improved with either a 4x5 aspect ratio (portrait) or by having her elbows pulled in. The angle with the square crop doesn't quite work for me.

  1. Hi John,

I like the composition here.  Well placed leg to keep it classy.  The X shape formed by the legs draws the eye but is balanced nicely by the shapes the arm and breast form.  I would try it without the mouth included, but not sure if it would improve the photo or not.

    Hi Mike,

No, this one is from my D7000. However, if you're film fan, most of the last 20 or so photos in this folder are shot on film.  Either Tri-X or Ilford FP4+.  All with the RZ.  Had to leave my Rollei at home this trip... :-(

Thanks Sam.  I appreciate your comment.  Candace made all the difference in this photo. I was merely a camera holder :-)

I think I will do a little more work on this one as the upper left side is a little too bright and needs to be burned in a bit.

Thanks David. I did remove much of the contrast from the shot as an experiment.  I have a number of others of this perfect torso with normal and heavier contrast.

Tomek, I love the light and the intensity of the photo.  I dug a little deeper looking for some lines that would give it a touch more flow and energy. I hope you don't mind!

Tomek, you've given me a bit of an ego boost this morning as I sit here with my coffee, dreading going to work at my desk job today.  It's been a while since I've done any photography I've liked (I'm my own worst critic, of course). Lots of life has gotten in the way in the past few years. I think you've inspired me to find a model and a studio and have a shoot and produced some more work like this.

I like this photograph of yours.  I'm not one to expound on why...I find a photo either works for me or it doesn't, especially one so graphically simple and sublime.

Please shoot more, and I'll try to do the same!

    Best regards,

    Robert
