My first time shooting swimsuit photos. Her first time posing for one.

Ran some actions on it in the editing phase. Any thoughts on what I

    could have done differently appreciated.

You are getting blur for some reason. Try using a higher shutter speed, I know that can be difficult in a high school (?) gm. 1/200 or 1/250 is probably the slowest you want to go.

I think the selective focus would have worked better if the receiver was in focus, rather than the thrower, since all you see is his back. Eyes are a big part of baseball photos such as this.

This is actually four photos merged in Photoshop CS, shot in July

while the leaves were green. I changed the colors with selective

color and the hue/saturation adjustment. I'm not looking for feedback

on the artistic merits of this photo. Just want to know what people

think of the merging and leaves colors. Look toward the top left

border, and you can see one spot where the photos overlap. Left this

on purpose for people to get an idea of the size of each individual

    shot. View at "larger."

Was the depth of field created through Photo Shop or was it from a wide aperture? I like the shallow DOF, gives it a 3 dimensional feel. Also, what is it? Some kind of flower, I assume. A dandelion? Did you put the bblack background in during editing? Sorry for so many questions. Nice photo.

To answer the camera/tonality question, I shoot for a daily newspaper, which is where I get my Nikon gear (a DiH and D2H). I shoot Canon personally, because I like Canon better. I use the D2H for sports usually, but I took it out this day since there were no sports assignments and I could use the 300 mm lens to get close to the animals. I have access to a 300mm with 1.4x extender for Nikon, but only 200mm for my Canon.

Of course, the D2H is a better camera, but I like shooting with my 10D for the extra 2 megapixels. As far as image tone, both cameras have worked equally well for me, although the 10 D is a little noisier at higher ISO's.

My dream camera is the Canon 1D MK II, but that's a little ways off according to my personal budget.
