Howdy,
very nice exposure. Well done. The blues create a nice atmosphere and the tonal range is great, we can see the nice glow in the clock tower. My only criticism would be that you could of zoomed or cropped closer into the picture. Maybe some stars or even the moon would be nice in the upper zone of the photo. But hey, thats a very picky critique. Good photo.

Critiques and constructive criticism welcome.
Thanks!

Mandar, yes those are city lights (actuallt a main causeway bridge). It is just in outside of the Perth City here in Western Australia. It was docked in what is called the Swan Brewery and in front of a spectacular, expensive indoor and outside resturaunt.
Unfortunately I couldnt get around the angle of the slightly distracting lights and I dont like to photoshop the images too much for authenticity reasons.
Thanks for the comments.

Great juxtoposition. An intriguing angle which is lead by defined lighting......, leading into the subject. I like it a lot - 5/5.

Any comments welcome. Ta!

Mike....., there is a lot of colour in this photograph. I also very much like the angle in which this is taken providing a nice blue background of the sky.
I anticipate you had a lot of patience for that sweet little bee! Exposure with the flash is also very good. Some very critical photographers may critique the shades left from the flash on the flowers (my assumption). But the message is simple in your photo, the bee is collecting pollen from nature's flora. Great photo.

I love the dirty, grimy look of both the subject and surroundings. Fantastic imagination and great work in creating this image.

Awesome tone and interesting facial expressions.
You ponder wether or not he is wanting to be photographed or he is simply being himself.

Nice placement of the filings. The light over the subject is also well done - my guess is natural light?
Good originality.

There is life in the picture, in both the person as well as the rocky wall - its like there is almost a face there too.
Interesting.

I think you have used the focal lenght of that lens (now I want it) to its potential. Considering the different tonal range and lighting, its also a great exposure.
I think the sky is best as is. Even if you did have a grad filter - or you added it in in photoshop, it would have been relatively tricky not trying to effect other areas of your already natural picture. DOF is very good - great lens!

A busker on the Street. He had an interesting angle to the way he wore
is hat and was a contrast to the colours of the background, his
clothing and the instrument.

Fabulous.
Great choice of film and filter, probably no better choice available for this particular scene!

Gret photograph. B&W is perfectly suited to this particular subject. Lines and contours are depicted with a great exposure.
Also great to see a fellow Western Australian on photo.net!

Simon,
A very good portrait. I cant believe there are no other comments and or ratings. This fellow looks like a movie star and really engages the viewer. Well done!
I am also an OM user. Can you remember what lens you used. Very sharp.

Yellow Submarines
The Clowns shoes, one of the main features of the character, caught
my attention at the Subiaco Fair, Perth, W.A.
