Thank you for your welcome and your helpful suggestions. I keep the

diopter in place all the time when not showing it to someone. If I try

to cement things it'll be with cynaoacrylate (the optics are not

threaded). I got my 1.25x from Germany and so I'd have to return it

to Leica AG, in all likelihood. It works as is, I like what it does,

so I'll just be forewarned and leave things as they are.

I joined a week or two ago.

I was showing my 1.25 magnifier to another photographer and took off

of it the +1 diopter that I normally use with it. Later when I was

getting ready to place the magnifier and diopter back together and

onto the camera, I noticed that its lenses and spacer had dropped out!

Luckily I found all the pieces and was able to replace them in the

correct sequence.

Has this happened to anyone else? While it was a quick fix (I intend

to use a bit of rubber cement to hold things firmly in place), the

though of it happening in the field prompts this message.
