  1. I've loaded XP2400 bulk film into (re)used cassettes. The DX codes are either 100 or 200. I'll expose it as 400 (like I always do). Is the C41-proces the same for 100 as 400 film? If not, I'll need to tell the (mini)lab to treat the film as 400 which may present some problems.

(The local photo-store refuses to treat XP2 like any other C41 film and insists on printing it on BW/W paper (quite expensive and poor results). The drugstore (cheap, greenish / brownish prints, I quite like 'm) doesn't present this problem, but I don't know if their lab handles this kind of thing)

    Thanks,

    Bas

  2. In a garage sale today, I bought a Metz 45CT-1. It came with the 4540 accupack. Some of the cells / batteries inside have started to leak

Is it possible to replace them with regular NiCd or NiMH batteries?

    (AA-size)

    thanks for any help,

    Bas

btw I think the flash can use an external powersource as well. anyone know what kind of source?

  3. I agree I'd leave it best alone.

I was sort of hoping of finding some sort of "dry-cleaning" -method.

You know, using some kind of dissolvent to clean out the dirt without taking the thingy apart, which

would kill its appearance. This doesn't seems very realistic though.

Besides I've got an Agfa Clack (6x9) and Isola (6x6) that'll alow some experimenting with 120 film.

    Thanks for your reply,

    Bye,

    Bas

  4. Today someone gave me this old camera.

Unfortunetly the viewfinders are very dirty (cant see trough them).

Also, shutter release etc. are very dirty and thus >stickky<.

Is there any chance of getting this thing clean and working again?

(I don't see how to open the front and clean things up)

    Thanks for any advice,

    Bas van Dijk

  5. My father bought an old camera in the junkstore.

It's a Voigtländer Bessamtic and in pretty good condition too ;)

However, shutterspeed and aperture seem to be interlocked. We've tried but still don't know how to unlock it.

    Does anyone here know?

    thanks,

Bas -hope i posted in the right forum- van Dijk
