Compositionally it is a very sound image. It is also exposed well. If I was to fault it, I would say that the added texture may be a little too much for my taste, but each to their own. If you squint the texture goes away, and it becomes a wonderful image :) Well done.

I don't think that people appreciate the merits of a simple photo. Here we have a uncluttered image with the subject filling the frame nicely. It has nice tonal range and is nice and sharp. All in all it's a great photo. Well done.

If I were to change anything in this photo, perhaps I would try it as black and white. I hope you don't mind, I've attached a black and white version... Monochrome Channel Mix and Levels Adjustment.

A wonderfully tender image. I think that it may be a cropped a litle bit too tightly. I only say this from experience. I have enlarged a few photos similar to this one that become a little bit overwhelming at larger sizes, as it kind of just becomes "all head".

Visually appealing, and technically very well done, but in my opinion it is missing something. Perhaps what it lacks is originality. As such, I guess I am a little surprised at its selection as photo of the week. Having said that, it's still a very nice photo. Congratulations Pavel.
