yeah, brad, you know me. i get my color work processed at walmart and shoot with a bessa and then i go and buy a noctilux.
ed - it is fun, isn't it? slightly less fun in ga heat and humidity, however.
-
-
mmm. fred?
how ya feeling?
-
excellent. i love 5.
-
francois, i love the color version of that shot.
-
great image.
-
not at all, jay - i have enough empathy to be able to imagine the mindset of someone with more money than sense. it's just that when it boils down to it, my levis fit just as well as prada or diesel and i'm not afraid to get them dirty.

if you guys have the money and are unconcerned with diminishing returns, more power to you. i'm not particularly indignant, as i have no relation to you. i was simply responding to what i read into your message, 'You'd be a fool to take advice from people whose entire store of Leica gear plus their pickup truck isn't worth $3000.' it hadn't occurred to me that the value of an opinion was in direct correlation to the amount of cash one has spent.
-
seriously, jay? i never realized that the cost of my equipment and the cost of my car would increase the value of my opinion or my photos. and personally, if there is anyone for whom the cost of my gear and ride increases their respect for me, i'm quite sure that my respect for them would diminish accordingly.
-
hey - when one of you guys with a whole heck of a lot of cash decides that you are going to get the m8 and neglect your other leica gear, would you consider supporting a poor bessa owner with a m2-m6classic? because that would be great.
-
i only take pictures because the price of photography as a hobby keeps me off heroin.
-
i need to find a ramones shirt for my 14 month old daughter.
-
no leica gear to speak of, bang to buck i've found my bessa r2 and 50 nokton to be pretty capable. and even that i traded a d100 to stephen gandy to acquire. i have 2 enlargers, one gifted, one inherited; one film scanner, traded for design services; one g5, provided by work; and an epson 2200, which i purchased with money from a wedding gig.
i would like a user m2-m6 classic, but i am having a hard time justifying the expense.
and i turn 30 tomorrow.

this,
maybe? i've since had a film scanner gifted to me, but wal-mart was a cheap and
easy option.

yes ray, i realize that what i've posted here is not extraordinary. i will look at other funny work, study, and keep trying.
the rest of you - glad you liked it. it brightened my friday a bit.
-
before you ask why i posted it in this forum, i'll answer you: because
1) it's funny and 2) so i didn't have to harvest all your emails and
send it to you.

i don't understand your sizing problem, elaborate?
as for colors changing on the web, make sure that you convert your image to sRGB before saving it for the web.
