A wonderful gentleman, despite all that he went thru. Was fortunate to have met him while still in nyc.

I use the RMFX finder that others have recommend, found one on the net in England. It is worth the price if you use the SWC a lot. It is discontinued, so an auction site has them every once and while.
Good Luck

tenba has some aircases for profoto or try the kata oc-86 case which will hold stands too

I would get it repaired like others suggested, unless you want to spring for a d200 right now. It is a tool and perhaps tax deductible since you use it as part of your profession.

Gene try Havel Camera Repair first in San Antonio to see if they can do it more reasonably. I use them all the time. They are located off of Basse Street, and are a Nikon authorized repair. Definately not worth more than 300 to repair

Earliest Richard Nordin book on the early Hasselblads is there on the auction
site. I already have a copy. Just passing it on.

Ron re the photog losing his camera, yes it was found and leica now has it, but no it didnt work anymore, it was pretty smashed but the film was recovered.

Mine has 3 slight circular depressions on my m6ttl titanium.

I ditto Tony's answer, since I also use the same system, Cokin and Hi Tech filters on my hassy SWC.

Raymond, my idea in posting my photo was just showing a photo exercise walking around with just one lens a 50mm at that. Your opinion means nothing to me, its is just another insensitive remark that detracts from again someone else trying to share.

Thank u Michael especially for the posting info.

First time I loaded a picture on this Leica forum and I had sized it right and just wanted to share some walking about photos taken with just one lens thats all, nothing more. Please forgive me
-
Again with one lens, the 50 summicron

I have seen these mounted on heavy duty gitzo tripods as well as some wooden tripods, both with the additional yoke that really makes this lens a lot easier to use.

He uses Fuji Provia 400 according to Leica Newsletter

Really like the 2nd shot Arthur. Have fun with the M8. Still shoot with the SWC? Take care,

I have the same flash unit, and since it was made by Metz, have you tried calling their parts department? Just a suggestion
-
Way to Go Arthur, they're great!

Thanks Paul, as an ex NYer I luv seeing those Met photos, and as a swc/m owner, got to keep it Paul.

I have had several, and agree pentax is a good one, so were the minoltas I have had. Switched to Sekonic for spot and incident in one, as well as flash. Had 508 but after a tumble Sekonic allowed me to trade in for the latest which I like for the f stop reading inside which the 508 didn't have. So far the L758 has been great. Nice people to deal with.

I remember when you had the first one, now since Hasselblad discontinued this camera, I think us SWC owners must pledge an oath to keep them no matter the urge. Now must get back to my Mets-

I originally used a nc-2 prism with the groundglass on swc, and hated it so I find a rmfx finder from robert white in england and had it shipped to me here in the states, and boy was it worth it and bought it for a good price.
