Where is the sky? -
Its blurry, crooked, and there is stuff (dust specs perhaps?) in the sky. other than that it is average. -
The picture is overexposed, perhaps i could fake a blue sky in photoshop. the scanning problem is the lack of sharpness -
Did you use a tripod? Good job merging the pictures, although I dont think the panoramic works in this shot, as there is not much going on to the far left and right of the image. Perhaps using a longer lens would have worked better?

I live near St Louis and intend to try one of these myself but I guess I'll have to wait until the water freezes for that nice effect.
