  1. I really like this photo as a "winter scene" verses a "northern lights" photo. I like the depth from the trees all the way back to the farthest mountain. The Aurora, though not in spectacular form, really adds to the sense of place (north!). Feel free to comment, I enjoy reading other people's thoughts.
  2. Just a fun photo while I was waiting for this moose to do something

special (it never really did). I can't help but wonder what was going

through each of the four minds here. At least his ears remained up, a

good sign he was not feeling threatened.

  3. Went climbing this weekend and camped out the night before. A buddy

couldn't wait to get on the wall so he geared up and climbed staying

low on the wall. I saw the scene and started shooting. Comments

    welcome.

consider getting a graduated neutral density filter. It will even out the exposure. With the digital you even preview the placement. There will be no holder, but you can just hold it up to the lens manually (even easier if you're using a tripod). I do it all he time with my point and shoot digital. Works like a charm.
  4. A photo of a friend as we climbed on the Matanuska Glacier in Alaska.

In retrospect, I wish I had stopped my lens down and got some direct

sun for a starburst, but I like it the way it is. Comments welcome

A friend got these roses that opened up beautifully. I took a

picture at her request and was amazed at how it came out! This was

just a point and shoot camera bracing myself on a counter top. The

color is true to the actual rose! Nothing new at all, but pleasing

to the eye none the less.

  5. Just a little paranoid I guess. I am so used to e-mailing to friends and family ect.. and am always shocked when I see a good quality print come back my way. It does distract for sure, and that is the point. Maybe I can feel safer in this environment and not add usightly blemishes. Point well taken!
