Nice composition. But you should to try to get more contrast. At least on my monitor, no deep blacks.

Looking forward to your comments

This was part of a photo-essay on the beaches of Arles last summer.
Thank you for your comments. You are most welcome to check the rest

This was part of an essay on the beaches of Arles, one of the few
places where wild camping is tolerated. You are welcome to take a
look at the rest of the folder and comment it.

My favorite too. For it tells the whole story - embrace, tenderness, the ring - in an unusual composition.
-
Nice composition and use of lines. The tilt works here nicely. Yet, I feel that you could have avoided the branch going through his head. Hoping you won't mind my being picky on an otherwise very good shot.

Eery mood. I like the contrast between the dark fence and the white soft mysterious sphere. The inscription is spot on where it should be.

This one should be viewed as part of a

around the Eiffel tower. More than ratings, please leave your
comments. What drove you to enlarge this particular one ?

Nice use of a few lights to lead the viewer to the subject. I like the sketchy mood. Maybe a bit more space on the top.

Do not tell me that I should not have croped the tip of the iron lady. I feel bad enough. But I could not resist taking a pic of this big tall guy enjoying an ice cream like any kid would. Envy, sympathy. Probably both !
-
I did crop the original. Now that you mention it, I agree that tip of the tower almost touching the border feels a bit distracting. When I have time I may upload another version. Thanks for your constructive comment. These are what makes this place so valuable. If you have time to drop an eye at the rest of the folder, your opinion will be much apreciated.

Nice one. The tilt works indeed very well here, and IMHO much better than in the other portrait of your children. I am still trying to understand why.

The way each of the bird is isolated from the other along a diagonal, the subtle sense of movement from their wings, the nice contrast, all this makes it a very powerful picture. And a welcome relief from pictures of Red Robins that seem to be so desperately popular on PN ;-).

Not a snapshot. The curve of the body makes it interesting. I also like the way you can see each pen on the right wing.
-
Very nice shot. Reminds me of Salgado's work. But I also agree that it is a tad too dark. I would like to see more details in the faces of subjects on the sides. Thanks for sharing.
-
I would have waited a second more so that the silouhette of the cyclist is not obstructed by the cables. Maybe lacks a bit of sharpness, but this could be the scan. Ohterwise, good graphical subject. Thanks for sharing.

Let me know your point of view.

No doubt it won't make it to POW, but I like it because of the richness of tones that I so seldom manage to get. What's your feeling ?
