  1. I really appreciate all the feedback on this image. I'm a little shy about showing my work, so this is a big step. As for the sharpness, this was actually submitted to support a question I posted on the Digital Darkroom forum. I paid $70 for this scan and print from my "pro" lab, and needless to say I was disappointed. I'm looking into a scanner and all that stuff so I can do it myself.

Thanks again for your supportive feedback.

Great detail and composition. I struggle with reflective subjects like this because of the reflections of the setting. You've done a nice job of finding a reflection that complements the shape of the headlight.
  2. A nice image overall, but the dark green intrusion into the center of the flower is a bit distracting. Looks like something was in the foreground. Very clever though. Did you get a model release from the bug?

  3. good color satuation and detail. I'm not sure of the crop of the building on the right...looks more of an intrusion than part of the composition. I am very impressed with your use of color, though. I would have missed this opportunity. Nice work.

Wonderful color and saturation. I thought this was filtered at first, but more careful inspection caused me to second guess myself. Wonderful work.

this is a beautiful image. Lovely color and great composition. The hint of an image in the drop (providing a wide angle view of what I presume is your backyard) is quite clever. Thanks for sharing!
  4. A nice photo. I like this form of still life, and am working on several techniques. I like the textures of the overly ripe bananas against the bowl. It's reflective of some of Weston's work. I think the shadows are a bit harsh as it seems to be a soft image that is hardened by the crisp edges of the shadows with no detail. But that's my humble opinion. Nice work.

  5. Thanks for taking the time to look at this image. I am knew to the

digital world, so the scan may leave a bit to be desired. What I am

trying to do is move in from the field and get more experience in the

studio. This is my first crack at macro photography, and I welcome

    your comments.

    Thanks!
