Star Wars. That's what I was thinking! It looks just like Tatooine! Where is this? As a matter of fact...what is this?

The seldom photographed Las Vegas landscape... off the strip. This
has been minipulated a little (deleted some telephone, power poles),
but the feel of it has not. I like the contrast between what's above
the sky and what's below the clouds.

The colors seem a little unatural, but that's almost exactly the way
it was...the overcast day made the colors seem an odd hue. Taken
with Provia slide 100 film.

This is not the most dynamic photo...but there's something about it
that I really like. Comments?

I can't imagine a photo with better lighting or exposure. Wonderful!

Wonderful mood! It's really quite beautiful. I was a little disappointed to see the subject is a photographer though; it brings me out of the fantasy like mood of the woods and into a mechanical reality (illustrating how the photo was brought to me). I was also disappointed that there was not a shot of just the amazing scenery in your portfolio. Excellent photo!

Great composure, but looks a bit dark. The clouds are properly exposed but everyhting else is dark. I do realize this may be the intent. I like it.

It took just a tiny bit of levels ajustment to get the yellow out of
this one, since I didn't have any filters when I shot it. I found it
a little comical.

Looks like a few slouched, mopey guys after a hard days work. The oval shape peaking in the back is a little distracting and there is little detail in the shadows on the right. It's a great photograph. It says something...which is something my photos seldom do.

The image is actually a composite. An original B&W and a color, (which is actually not altered much, this amazing sunset was in Kansas of all places).
-
Cheezy? Overdone? Simplistic? I wanted to take the best of color and
B&W and combine them; the dichotomy of vibrance of color and texture
of B&W. Did I accomplish anything?

More experimentation with digital. Am I blurring that line between
art and photography, (not meaning that photography is not an art form
of it's own).

The darkness around the edges was a happy accident, (to qoute Bob
Ross). I think it adds an interesting contrast to the color. I don't
really like the reflection of the mountain, I think it detracts from
it.

You might be right...3 areas of interest might be better than 4. The ground might be distracting, although it was the additional angles of it that I liked. Like leo stated, all the lines are kinda skewed.

Shadows seem to be another favorite of mine. I like taking a picture
of something without actually taking a picture of it. Something about
the color of this I find less than adequate...I don't know what it is.
-
Wonderful color. I especially like the relationship between the foreground and the backround.
-
Another simple one. Too simple? Anyting interesting?

I seem to take these kinds of pictures a lot. Simple, geometric
shapes found everywhere. I like it...but is it aesthetically pleasing
to anyone else?
