In terms of lighting equipment, I suggest Godox/Flashpoint. I am currently using their XPLOR-600, then a large enough light modifier you can manage. I agree with others that practice the diff. lighting would be the key. Otherwise, I think there are way too many variable. Model selection, facial expression, color b&w, make up, clothing, etc...! Then the lighting to create the mood.
