    thanks for looking at my pics your work is very impressive, I really apreciate a comment from someone who can do a much better job. The pic was rotated 9 degrees in photshop to give some impact and this was the only crop that worked. The original shot was horizontaland didn't really work.

    this is a great portrait you understand lighting and the skin tones are great. It makes my blood boil when I see some dickless wonder rate a photo like this with a 3/3,it's way above average 6/6

    I used a Nikon D200 with an SB800 flash, the trick is to balance the ambient light and the flash I was shooting out of a window with very strong backlight and the flash on the camera the balance of light is okay but the flash did not freeze the bird totally. It's all very tricky and trial and error plays a big part thank heavens for digital eh.

    thanks for you comments they are much appreciated I would be happy to see your versions any input is always appreciated this was shot in a vertical aspect and I feel the grass in the foreground gives perspective
