Hello dear friends of Canon FD, etc. Hoping August will bring forth many great photographs by you. This month I am starting off with a Soviet era Indrustar 50/3.5 with Pentax /. Pentagon thread mounted on an adapter for Canon FD. I shot some summer clouds that I thought epitomized mid-summer somehow. I'll also show a photo of The Indrustrar on my Canon F-1.

Hello Canon FD, etc. shooters !! It's HOT here in Japan. Also COVID-19 is up here in Japan. I am still sequestered but fortunately the the fretwork is gone for our front window and I can shoot for my balcony again. This shot is from last February. Finally, last month's Photo of the Month was FANTASTIC !!!.

Come to Japan for reasonably priced used lenses. Before the pandemic I used to dig through the piles of Canon FD and other lenses. (My favorite jewels: 80-200/4 2-touch and the one-touch aspherical versions. The first went for 1000 yen (about $5.00) and the other for around $200.) At that time no one wanted those old lenses. It may have changed a bit and a trip to Japan is worth the cherry blossoms, the sushi and the camera shop bargain bins.

Hello, FD, etc. shooters. Please show us your shots. I am still sequestered as the pandemic is still very much on. Our building continues to be refurbished. We are still wrapped in plastic and metal tubing. It will be done in July. So onward!
