  1. As far as I know Fuji are marketing in Japan only a

    B&W film similar to XP2 & Kodak's 400cn, i.e. it can

be processed in C41. There is also normal B&W film

    available, again in Japan only.

Without going into the pros and cons of APS, there is

still a long way to go until all the film types we are

used to in 35mm are available in APS.

This is mainly to do with the lack of processing capacity

and skill. Here in the UK, Boots (a leading drugstore chain) are

replacing in-store Kodak labs with their own trained staff

and equipment supplied by Fuji, to give APS processing a boost

    (per Amateur Photographer).

Sorry, but can't be more specific on your question ....

  2. Hi, just acquired 100 feet of 35mm Neopan 400.

I generally use Ilfosol 1:9. Ilford give a dev

time of 6.5 minutes @ 20C. Is anyone using this

    film/dev combination? Any comments/criticisms?

I use Ilfosol for convenience because I do about

one film a week and don't want to keep a stock

    solution. Thanks.

  3. Recently I used TMAX3200 for the first time (picked up an out of

date roll). I developed in Ilfosol for 17.5 minutes (ISO 3200 rating)

and fixed for 10 minutes in Ilford Hypam. No pink to be seen anywhere

and great negatives. So it must be the fixing time. When I use my

normal films (ISO 100 Ilford/Orwo) I use 4 minutes fixing, that is

    twice the normal clearing time.
